Emily Sedlacek began working as an editor at E Source in the summer of 2022. Prior to joining the editorial team at E Source, she worked at North Carolina State University as a research administrator. In this role, she managed grants for several campus offices, including the Institute for Transportation Research and Education, the Data Science Academy, and the Office of Institutional Equity and Diversity.

Emily also taught rhetoric and composition and worked in the writing center at Appalachian State University. She earned an MA in English, a BA in English, a BA in French, and a minor in Communication from Appalachian State University. Because of her interdisciplinary training and professional experience, she edits for a wide variety of topics.

Recent and planned policy changes could affect all parts of the US battery market, especially EVs and energy storage. These policy changes will likely increase battery prices, slow EV adoption, and require utilities to alter ESS plans.
