Education. Networking. Fun. All of these words can be used to describe why people attend the E Source Forum year after year, but this year will look a bit different. We’re disappointed that we won’t get to see you in person in Denver, but we’re excited about the event we’ve designed this year and hope our virtual platform will feel as much like an in-person event as possible.

Many people attend the Forum, first and foremost, for the exceptional content. We’ll be hosting innovative sessions in four themes that account for the challenges utilities are facing during this turbulent year:

  • Postpandemic recovery
  • Decarbonization
  • Utility of the future
  • Serving vulnerable communities

But it’s not all about the content. Attendees usually remark on how much fun they have at the Forum and appreciate the opportunity to network with their industry peers. While we can’t fully recreate the Forum online (sadly, no casino night this year), we’re doing our best to inject the fun and special elements the we’re known for into this new virtual format for 2020. We’ll still bring you content on the latest trends in the industry in unique and engaging ways and deliver thought-provoking keynote sessions (complete with surprises!) in true E Source fashion. We’ll have a virtual exhibit hall and networking lounge so you can chat with friends, old and new. And rest assured that Doug the caricature guy will be on hand at the event, churning out cartoon drawings as usual.

Continuing the caricature tradition

Here’s a preview of just one of the fun special guests that will be featured at the E Source Forum

On Tuesday, October 6, we’ll end the day with a happy hour, sponsored by Oracle Utilities, featuring a performance from a surprise musical guest that will be sure to please. Our closing happy hour on Wednesday, October 7, includes a mixology class from a skilled bartender as well as a friendly competition with fun prizes, sponsored by Willdan. Both happy hours start at 3:30 p.m. MT.

We know you’ll be consuming a ton of valuable information, so you may need to give your brain a rest. We created a Brain Break area where you can do a puzzle, get your blood flowing with a short fitness break, or check out some of the fun prizes we’re giving away and get in the game.

We hope to see you virtually on October 6–7 for the E Source Forum, an event you won’t want to miss. Register today and find out for yourself why the Forum is truly one of a kind.
