The Utility Marketing Survey is now the Utility Marketing Strategy Assessment
In 2024, we’re offering the E Source Utility Marketing Strategy Assessment. As the next version of the E Source Utility Marketing Survey, the new assessment gathers data about the strategies, budgets, and metrics utility marketing teams use to plan and deliver their campaigns.
The assessment is composed of a pair of surveys, one for residential marketing and one for business marketing. The results will help utilities determine their marketing maturity, compare their marketing maturity to peers across the industry, and improve the effectiveness of marketing efforts to better reach different customer groups.
What you’ll learn
Data from the Utility Marketing Strategy Assessment will give you a better understanding of:
- Planning. How utilities set goals, develop strategies, establish budgets, and use customer data to inform their marketing plans.
- Implementation. How utilities roll out their campaigns, including how they segment audiences, which tools and software they use, and how they organize their marketing team.
- Measurement. How utilities measure campaign success, which metrics they use and how they use them, and how they adjust marketing plans based on campaign performance.

All survey participants will receive an invitation to a webinar where we’ll review and discuss highlights from the study results. Members of the E Source Residential Marketing Service who participated in the survey will receive:
