Utility Marketing Strategy Assessment

The marketing department of a utility is crucial for engaging with customers, promoting programs and services, building and maintaining the utility’s brand image, and using data-driven approaches to develop targeted marketing campaigns. These efforts help ensure customer satisfaction, encourage the adoption of energy-saving measures and new technologies, and enhance the utility’s reputation and trust among customers. One way to understand how well a utility aligns with these efforts is by participating in the Utility Marketing Strategy Assessment.

The assessment is composed of a pair of surveys, one for residential marketing and one for business marketing, that gathers data about the strategies, budgets, and metrics utility marketing teams use to plan and deliver their campaigns. The results will help utilities determine their marketing maturity, compare their marketing maturity to peers across the industry, and improve the effectiveness of marketing efforts to better reach different customer groups.

If you’re interested in participating the next time the study is conducted, please read the information below and fill out the form.
